A friend of mine recently shared a beautiful tradition inspired by his Rwandan heritage. In Rwanda, oral storytelling is a deeply rooted way of passing down wisdom, values, and identity, often taking place during major life milestones like weddings, anniversaries, and elder recognition gatherings. His family, valuing this tradition, chose to embrace it in a meaningful way for his mother’s 70th birthday.

Each person shared memories, lessons, and heartfelt words, painting a living portrait of her legacy. What struck me was how powerful it is to honour someone while they’re here—to let them see, feel, and engage with their impact in real time.

It made me think—what if, as gifts, we offered more than material things? What if we gave recorded messages, reflections, and tributes to those we love?

Legacy storytelling isn’t just a way to document insights for the future—it’s a way to deepen our connections today. Whether for a milestone celebration, an anniversary, or simply a moment worth preserving, these conversations create meaning in ways no physical gift can.

Because legacy isn’t just about what we pass down—it’s about the moments we share now.

That’s why we believe legacy storytelling should be a part of life’s biggest moments. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to capture these moments, we’re here to help.
